Advisory Council of Central Banks and Financial Consumers Rights Protection
The 5th Advisory Council Meeting of Central (National) Banks on protection of financial services consumers rights with participation of Central banks representatives of Kazakhstan, Armenia, Russia, Belorussia, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan has taken place on November 23-24, 2017 in the Training Centre of the National Bank of Tajikistan (Guliston town).
Ms. Lola Salimova, Deputy Chairman of the NBT and representatives of Banking System Services Consumers Rights Protection Division presented the National Bank of Tajikistan in the given event.
During the Advisory Council Meeting of central banks the participants made good presentations on various directions of protection of financial services consumer rights, including offering financial electronic services, incensement of financial literacy of the population and significant discussion took place at the end of presentation. Participants of this meeting shared with the experience of their countries in the sphere of protection of financial services consumers, and provided information on their achievements on this process.
At the end of the meeting the Action Plan of Advisory Council of Central (National) Banks on protection of financial services consumers rights for the period of 2017-2018 was approved by the participants, and also were defined the following priority direction: improvement of pre-trial dispute settlement (mediation), development of minimal standards on deposits and savings and writing out from clients’ account, improvement of schoolchildren and labor migrants’ financial literacy.
