NBT: Meeting with entrepreneurs and representatives of the Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry
On May 5, 2023, the First Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Firdavs Tolibzoda held a meeting with entrepreneurs and representatives of the International Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia under the leadership of the President of this chamber Ms. Christina
Tee, during which the sides discussed relevant issues related to the banking system and investment in various sectors of the country's economy.
Following the exchange of greetings, Firdavs Tolibzoda noted with appreciation the interest of Malaysian entrepreneurs in establishing cooperation with the business circles of Tajikistan in such difficult conditions for the region.
Then Firdavs Tolibzoda acquainted the guests with the current macroeconomic situation in the country and stressed that the Tajik economy is developing and its macroeconomic indicators have a positive trend.
The MICCI President Ms. Christina Tee, and Malaysian entrepreneurs expressed their views on the implementation of investment opportunities in projects and priority areas of the economy, the opening of representative offices of financial institutions, the development of the insurance sector, etc.
The head of the Malaysian delegation also expressed readiness to contribute to the implementation of mutually beneficial cooperation.
First Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Firdavs Tolibzoda emphasized that the National Bank of Tajikistan fully supports the participation of foreign capital in the authorized capital of the country's credit institutions. In this regard, he called on Malaysian business circles to consider the possibility of participating in the authorized capital of credit financial institutions in Tajikistan.
At the end of the meeting, it was noted that mutually beneficial cooperation will contribute to the further development of the financial system of both countries.
