The gross external debt – an outstanding amount of total real current unconditional liabilities of residents to non-residents, requiring payment of interest and (or) principal in the future.

 The data on gross external debt of the Republic of Tajikistan are compiled in accordance with the requirements of the External Debt Statistics: Guide for Compilers and Users (IMF, 2013) and the 6th edition of Balance of Payments and International Investment Position Manual, International Monetary Fund (IMF, 2009).
