The 2^nd Round of Mutual Evaluation of national system on “Anti-money Laundering and Combating Terrorism Financing and Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction Financing Prevention (AML/CFT/PWMDFP)” of the Republic of Tajikistan is held since September, 2017 by the EAG experts.

It should be noted that visiting mission of experts-appraisers in Dushanbe has taken place from 5th till 15th of March, 2018. Within the limits of visit experts have met representatives of competent agencies on AML/CFT/PWMDFP, and also private sector.

Thereafter, according to the established procedure consideration of drafts of reports on a mutual evaluation were realized remotely.

Thereupon, it is necessary to note that for discussion of problem issues concerning the draft of the Report on mutual evaluation the delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan led by Mr. M.M. Vatanzoda – Legal Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan has visited Moscow (Russian Federation) for participation at a “face to face” meeting with the EAG experts-appraisers on September 5- 7, 2018.

It is worth to note that the interagency delegation included representatives of a management and responsible executives of ministries and departments on AML/CFT/PWMDFP, in particular: Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Finance, General Prosecutor, Supreme Court, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Agency of state financial control and struggle with corruption, Customs Service, Tax Committee, National Bank of Tajikistan, NBT’s Financial Monitoring Department, State Committee on Investments and State Property Management.

According to the program practical arrangements concerning “face to face” meeting, and also the key issues and next stages of a mutual evaluation were discussed during the first meeting.

Furthermore, according to the program the issues of ML/FT risks, international cooperation, legal system and issues of business activities, preventive and supervisory measures were discussed. Moreover, discussion of conclusions of the EAG experts-appraisers concerning law-enforcement and supervising bodies’ activities has taken place.

On September, 7 during the meeting additional items regarding direct results, and also problems of technical compliance have been discussed.

It is necessary to note that the results of mutual evaluation of national system on AML/CFT/PWMDFP of the Republic of Tajikistan will be discussed during the 29th Plenary Meeting of EAG, which will take place in Minsk (Byelorussia) in November, 2018.
