Meeting with the Swiss National Bank Chairman
First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Kholiqzoda H.H. and Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Tolibzoda F.N. met with Swiss National Bank Chairman Thomas Jordan in Washington on April 17 of this year.
During the meeting, the level and quality of bilateral cooperation between the countries was highly appreciated, and it was noted that the relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Swiss Confederation in various fields of economy are strengthening day by day.
Pointing to reliable economic relations, mutually beneficial cooperation and active representation of the interests of the Republic of Tajikistan by the Swiss National Bank in the Board of Directors of the IMF and the World Bank, the Head of the Republic of Tajikistan thanked its chairman, Mr. Thomas Jordan. It was mentioned that it was during the years of Thomas Jordan's service as the Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Swiss National Bank that our relations became stronger.
On his turn, Swiss National Bank Chairman Thomas Jordan congratulated Kholiqzoda H.H. and Tolibzoda F.N on their appointment to important and responsible government positions, while confirming the good level of bilateral cooperation, called on the Tajik delegation to further expand the cooperation, including in the banking system stability field.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on other areas of cooperation and expressed their readiness to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation. It was expressed confidence that the friendly, close and effective relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Swiss Confederation will continue to be effective.
At this meeting, the Republic of Tajikistan delegation was accompanied by Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan at the IMF and the World Bank Group Amirzoda P.H. and Director of International Reserves Management and Exchange Rate Policy Department of the National Bank of Tajikistan Boyakov Z.G.
