Meeting of NBT Chairman with Chairman of EADB Board

On January 29, 2018, the NBT Chairman Jamshed Nurmahmadzoda has met with representatives of the Eurasian Development Bank (EADB) under the leadership of Chairman of the EADB Board, Mr. Andrei Belyaninov. The meeting was held in spirit of mutual understanding.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to activation of bilateral cooperation, development of national economy and banking system.

The Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan, Jamshed Nurmahmadzoda, briefed the EADB group on current situation in the banking sector and noted the beginning of the health stage in the banking system of the Republic of Tajikistan.

In his turn, the Chairman of the EADB Board, Mr. Andrey Belyaninov, drew attention to assistance in lending to the private sector, possibility of opening EADB accounts in the NBT, conducting SWAP operations and other issues of the banking system.

In continuation of the meeting, the Chairman of National Bank of Tajikistan, Jamshed Nurmahmadzoda, stressed that these proposals will be thoroughly studied and taking into account the available opportunities, a transition to a new level of cooperation, including support for the country's banking system will be proposed.

It should be noted that Deputy Chairman of NBT Sirodzhiddin Ikromi, Director of the EADB Representative Office in Tajikistan Rashid Kadirov, Head of the EADB Organizational and Inspection Division Anton Martyniuk, Head of the EADB International Protocol Division Mikhail Panchenko, representatives of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan and heads of  NBT structural divisions also have attended the meeting.
