Meeting with mission of International Islamic Trading - Financial Corporation

On March 7, 2018 the Deputy Chairman of NBT Sirojiddin Ikromi with Mission of International Islamic Trading-Financial Corporation (ITFC) under the guidance of Director of Department concerning corporate and structured finance ITFC Nazem Normali was held a working meeting. During the meeting it was discussed issues connected with activity of International Islamic Trading-Financial Corporation in Tajikistan and expansion of cooperation with financial institutions in order to extension of trade financing for participants of private sector, especially small-medium business.

In the beginning of meeting Nazem Normali has told about activity of the International Islamic Trading-Financial Corporation as independent organization with a group of Islamic Development Bank. It has pointed that major tasks of ITFC – promotion of trade between member nations of Organization of Islamic Cooperation, assistance to the companies to get access for trade financing, and also extension of necessary appliance on expansion of trading potential in world market.

Also it has been noticed, that according to new strategy, the corporation will participate in development of private sector, especially small and medium business and cooperation with local banks. Therefore, ITFC interested in extension of cooperation with financial institutions of RT.

The Deputy Chairman Sirojiddin Ikromi during his discussion has said, currently in view of acceleration to realization of Islamic banking in republic, the preparation of normative legal acts, and issuance of licenses to Islamic credit institutions issued by the National Bank of Tajikistan. It is expected, that the first Islamic bank will begin its activity in current year.

Sirojiddin Ikromi has noticed, that RТ has a sufficient export potential in sphere of water-power engineering, nonferrous metals, construction materials and agriculture products. The main tasks of International Islamic Trading - Financial Corporation is promotion of trade, ITFC allows its financial services in export of mentioned products in countries near and far abroad.

It is necessary to note the Chief Specialist on science of ITFC Hojamurod Hojaev, Manager on Public Relations of ITFC Anvar Nigmatov, Director of Banking Supervision Department of NBT Nurmuhammad Sharipov, Head of International Relations Department Farhod Bilolov, Deputy Director of International Reserves and Exchange Rate Policy Department Olim Abdusalomov have also participated in the meeting.
