The National Bank of Tajikistan and the Consulting Company IFAAS, which is one of the leading international companies, have arranged a range of remote training seminars to improve the skills of bank employees within the framework of the Asian Development Bank training program in order to implement the Islamic Finance for Inclusive Growth technical assistance project.
As part of such cooperation, on July 1, 2022, a meeting was held at the National Bank of Tajikistan with participation of Deputy Chairman of National Bank of Tajikistan Tolibzoda Firdavs Nazrimad, General Director of the consulting company IFAAS Mr. Farrukh Raza, heads of credit financial institutions, NBT employees and stakeholders.
Summing up the results of the first stage of this Program, Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Firdavs Tolibzoda has noted that the training seminars were organized in order to increase the level of knowledge of specialists on principles of Islamic finance, they also touched on such areas as introduction to finance, banking, microfinance, leasing, takaful, sukut, accounting, corporate governance on principles of Islamic finances, taxation, risk management, Islamic finance policy framework and liquidity management.
General Director of the IFAAS consulting company, in turn, thanked the staff members for the active participation in the training program and said that Islamic banking has now received high prestige in the world, for which it has begun to attract the attention of traditional banking system. Arrangement of these seminars is a practical step to mobilize intellectual power to learn more about the principles of Islamic banking.
It should be noted that in the framework of the implementation of this project, 2,562 staff members took part in the seminars for 4 months, and after completing the course, 343 active participants have been awarded with 1,071 international certificates.
In conclusion, Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Tolibzoda Firdavs Nazrimad, CEO of IFAAS consulting company Farrukh Raza and heads of credit financial institutions awarded the international IFAAS certificates to active participants in the project "Islamic financing for inclusive growth".
