Seminar on "Organization of accounting in central (national) banks"

The National Bank of Tajikistan, in order to implement the professional training program for central (national) banks’ staff for 2023, organized a seminar on "Organization of accounting in central (national) banks" from 21 to 25 August 2023 at the NBT Training Center in Guliston.

This seminar was attended by representatives of central (national) banks of such countries as Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation, as well as an international expert, staff of the NBT Central Office and regional branches.

According to the approved program, the NBT specialists made presentations on the following topics: legislative basis in the field of accounting and organization of accounting and reporting system in the NBT, accounting of interbank operations of the NBT, procedure of preparation and approval of the NBT budget, procedure of preparation and submission of financial report according to IFRS in the NBT, automation of economic activities in central (national) banks (implementation of ERP programs), procedure of taxation of operations of the NBT and credit financial institutions, procedure of taxation of the NBT and credit financial institutions.

In turn, the invited participants made presentations on the following topics: organization of accounting in the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan, payroll accounting, taxes and social payments in the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan, current challenges for central (national) banks in the process of implementation of IFRS 9, organization of accounting in the Bank of Russia and development prospects, audit of annual financial statements of the Bank of Russia.

During the seminar, the NBT officials from Accounting Department provided detailed answers to the participants' questions, and conducted discussions and debates.

The participants thanked the management of the National Bank of Tajikistan for organizing the seminar at the highest professional and organizational level, warm hospitality and noted that the organization of this kind contributes to the strengthening of further cooperation between the accounting authorities of the central (national) banks of the participating countries.

In the final part of the event, the participants were presented with certificates and memorable gifts.
