Middle East and Central Asia Governors' Lunch Meeting

On October 11, 2023, on the sidelines of the Annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group in Marrakesh, Kingdom of Morocco, the Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan, Hokim Kholiqzoda participated in a lunch meeting of the governors of the Middle East and Central Asia.

Later, during the Lunch Meeting participants discussed issues of the agenda such as the impact of rising interest rates on the banking system, opportunities to expand the domestic investor base to mitigate risks, strengthening regulation and supervision of state-owned banks to ensure financial stability, and calibrating and coordinating macro prudential and anti-crisis measures, and expressed their views on addressing these issues.
