The license of “None-bank Credit Organization Western Union MT East LLC” (the Russian Federation) has been revoked and annulled

By the next Decision of the National Bank Tajikistan’s Management Board as of December 22, 2023, No 130 in accordance with the Article 14 of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Payment Services and Payment System”, the Article 29 of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Licensing System” and on the basis of the Article 77 of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the National Bank of Tajikistan” the license of Western Union”   payment system operator ОПС, № 00018   issued on the basis of written application of licensee to the “Non-bank Credit Organization Western Union MT East” by Decision of the National Bank Tajikistan’s Management Board as of February 26, 2021, No 40 has been revoked and annulled.

According to the mentioned decision the payment system management is obliged to make a corresponding entry in the registry of the payment systems operators.

In this regard citizens are informed that ‘Western Union” payment system carries out its activity in the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan on the basis of license of the National Bank of Tajikistan (ОНП № 00026 as of 30.09.2023), an operator of which is “Western Union Network” (France). At present money transfer services are fully available to the consumers of the country without opening accounts via “Western Union” payment system.
