In general, more than 300.6 million payments in the amount of   1,141.3 billion somoni were made through various payment methods (intra-bank, through direct correspondent relations and through correspondent accounts opened with the National Bank of Tajikistan) in the republic for the period January-June 2024. The number of payments increased by 86.6% compared to the same period last year and the total volume of payments increased by 47.5%.

During January-June 2024, credit financial institutions opened 12.6 million bank accounts for clients, of which 0.13 million accounts belong to legal entities and 12.5 million accounts belong to individuals. The number of customer bank accounts in credit financial institutions increased by 2.8 million or 22.7% compared to the same period last year, which indicates an increase in public confidence in the country's banking system.
