In general, in the republic for the period January-December 2024, more than 682.2 million payments in the amount of 2,579.4 billion somoni were made through various payment methods (intra-bank, through direct correspondent relations and through correspondent accounts opened with the National Bank of Tajikistan). The number of payments compared to the same period last year increased by 72.3% and the total volume of payments increased by 51.2%.

During January-December 2024, credit financial institutions opened 14.1 million bank accounts for clients, of which 14.0 million accounts belong to individuals and 0.14 million accounts to legal entities. The number of customer bank accounts in credit financial institutions increased by 2.9 million or 25.9% compared to the same period last year, which indicates an increase in public confidence in the country's banking system.
