From August 7 to 9 of this year, on initiative of the Training-Methodical Center of the Financial Monitoring Department under the National Bank of Tajikistan, a subsequent training course was conducted at the training center of the National Bank of Tajikistan located in the city of Guliston. This course focused on combating (legalization) of proceeds of crime, financing of terrorism and financing of proliferation of weapons of mass destruction (CLPC/FT/FPWMD) for representatives of financial credit organizations in the region.

More than 30 representatives of the nation's banking sector attended the event, where experts from the Financial Monitoring Department under the National Bank of Tajikistan gave a presentation on formation of the nation's CLPC/FT/FPWMD system, as well as the requirements of the country’s legislation in this field.

At the same time, the participants exchanged views on the role of credit institutions in the implementation of standards, as well as identified shortcomings in reporting and conducting comprehensive audits in financial credit institutions.

In the future, in order to deepen the knowledge of the participants based on the experience gained, practical classes were organized, at the end of which the participants received certificates.

The Financial Monitoring Department under the National Bank of Tajikistan has scheduled training sessions of a similar nature for other parts of the country in the future.
