On March 19, 2024, a grand cultural event was held in the National Bank of Tajikistan chaired by Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Tolibzoda Firdavs Nazrimad. The first Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Firuz Sharifzoda, Deputies Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Gulbahor Naziri and Sirojiddin Ikromi, Head of the Literature Promotion Center of the Writers' Union of Tajikistan Abdullohi Rahnamo, as well as the employees of the National Bank of Tajikistan participated in the event.

 

Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Firdavs Tolibzoda congratulated all the employees of the country’s banking system on International Holiday of Navruz.

It was noted that Navruz is one of our most important national holidays, which from ancient times to the present has brought people together with unity, development, friendship, humanism and other high human values. In this regard, Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon expressed in his speech: "We are proud that Tajikistan indeed is the place of origin to Navruz, Sada, Tirgon and Mehrgon. Each of these holidays has more than 6000-years history. We can also be proud that ancient Navruz is declared to be a global holiday."

Fourteen years ago, on February 23, 2010, on the Leader of the Nation initiative the 64th session of the General Assembly of UN adopted a resolution and proclaimed Navruz an international holiday.

"As we know after short period of time a system of government was created in Tajikistan meeting the long-standing national aspirations, which is the best Navruz present of our people and further all the necessary conditions for the orderly and stable development of our country were arranged," Firdavs Tolibzoda said.

It was noted that the State Independence assigned great tasks before the Tajik people, the most important of which were the creation of a sovereign national state, strengthening peace and stability, ensuring the security of the state and society, ensuring a decent life, and starting the process of construction.

It should be noted that even today National unity and stable economic and social development are among the main tasks and an important means of progress of Tajik society and state. Now our republic like many countries of the world is under the influence of major economic developments. This situation makes us to gradually continue and realize four strategic goals of the state in the direction of ensuring energy independence, break in communication deadlock, food security and acceleration of industrialization of the country.

Today despite the existing problems Tajikistan is experiencing a qualitatively new stage of social and economic development, and in this context, continuous reforms have been launched, the goal of which is the stable development of national economy, gradual reduction of poverty level, and improvement of quality of life of the country's people.

Continuing his speech, Firdavs Tolibzoda noted that on March 9 of this year the meeting of President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon was held with activists, representatives of society and religious figures.

At the meeting, the Leader of the Nation once again commented on the process of implementation of the laws of the Republic of Tajikistan "On the Regulation of Traditions, Celebrations and Ceremonies in the Republic of Tajikistan" and "On the Responsibility of Parents in the Education and Upbringing of Children" and called all residents of the country for compliance with the provisions of these laws.

Also, during the meeting the Leader of the Nation expressed his views on the issue of observing good ancestral traditions and educating the younger generation in the spirit of self-awareness and patriotism.

Therefore, it is important to use all means and opportunities for the healthy education of young generation, especially the youth of the country. We should prevent our youth from joining extremist and terrorist parties and movements, and destroying the peaceful atmosphere of peace and stability in the country, which was achieved by great efforts of the honorable people of Tajikistan under the guidance of Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon.

It is necessary for our youth to work diligently in response to the concerns of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, to prove that they are the worthy heirs of their parents, and to be proud of their homeland, their nation, and their national language and culture.

Then, Head of Literature Promotion Center of the Writers' Union of Tajikistan Abdullohi Rahnamo made a speech about the history of Navruz origin and traditions.

The representatives of the Bank's youth organization and ladies of the National Bank of Tajikistan raised the mood of the audience with poems and songs devoted to Navruz.

Traditionally, the winners of sports competitions among the structural units of the National Bank of Tajikistan dedicated to the International Holiday of Navruz were rewarded prizes and souvenirs.

At the end, Tolibzoda Firdavs Nazrimad, Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan, once again congratulated the participants on Navruz and wished them good health and success.
