The process of issuing a license for the activities of payment system operator (PSO)
The National Bank of Tajikistan issued a license for the activities of a payment system operator to domestic and international payment systems in accordance with the provisions of Article 14 of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Payment Services and the Payment System” and “The Procedure for Obtaining a License for the Activities of a Payment System Operator”.

According to the instruction of the National Bank of Tajikistan to credit financial institutions due to revocation of the license of QIWI Bank JSC by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation from February 21, 2024 to carry out banking operations, all transfer operations from/into the Republic of Tajikistan through the ‘’CONTACT’’ payment system were terminated.
