On May 16, Rustami Emomali, Chairman of the Majlisi Milli of Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Chairman of the city of Dushanbe, met with the IMF Managing Director, Ms. Kristalina Georgieva. AMIT "Khovar" informs about it with reference to the Executive Body of the State Authority of Dushanbe city.

Honorable Rustami Emomali appreciated the assistance and support of the Fund in the implementation of various programs related to the implementation of economic reforms, maintaining macroeconomic stability and improving the well-being of the people of the country, especially during the coronavirus pandemic.

It was noted that the Republic of Tajikistan considers it necessary to strengthen and expand cooperation with the International Monetary Fund for the further implementation of economic reforms and smooth development of the country.

Assistance in ensuring financial stability, strengthening the banking system, supporting projects directed to the formation of a "green" economy, expanding digitization, solving social and climate issues were named among the priority areas of further cooperation.

During the meeting, the parties also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
