His remarks encompassed strategies to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions, the impending threat posed by glacial melt, the fortification of mechanisms for cultivating 'green economies,' and the strategic integration of advanced technologies across diverse sectors.
Firdavs Tolibzoda, Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan, presented a discourse highlighting Tajikistan's endeavors to engage in global "green" investment markets. His address encompassed the development of "green" transportation and its associated infrastructure, legislative enhancements to facilitate the widespread adoption of a "green economy", and the Green Economy Development Strategy for 2023-2037 years.
Subsequently, the event's participants engaged in a dialogue concerning the implementation strategies for 'green economy' projects. The discussion included the mechanisms for acquiring 'green financing,' drawing upon the successful experiences of the United States, China, Europe, and other developed nations in this domain. Furthermore, perspectives from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank regarding climate change and its adverse impacts were presented. The participants received responses to their inquiries from the Deputy Managing Director of the IMF.
