Discussion of green economy and digitalization during the IMF-WB constituency meeting

The second part of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank constituency meeting continued its work on July 2, 2024 at the Training Center of the National Bank of Tajikistan "Khutalon Complex".    

As part of the IMF-WB constituency meeting program, presentations on the topics "Green economy as an alternative for the economies development" and "Digitalization as a trend of the national economy and modern society" were introduced. The participants of the event discussed the effects of climate change, the development of green financing, the exchange of experience on the development of Green FinTech, artificial intelligence in the banking system, digital money and digital technologies.

It should be noted that the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank constituency meeting is held in the Republic of Tajikistan for the first time, and it will contribute to the strengthening of cooperation between member states of the constituency, increasing the influence of the Republic of Tajikistan in the international arena, and presenting new opportunities for cooperation and investment.

Matters concerning the economic status of member states, the execution of fiscal and monetary policies, and other significant economic concerns are deliberated during the IMF and WB constituency meeting.
