Improving the financial literacy of entrepreneurs in the financial and banking sector within the framework of Pamirinvest–2024 International Investment Forum

On July 25-26, 2024, the Pamirinvest–2024 International Investment Forum was held in Khorog, Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Oblast.

 

The products of financial services of credit financial institutions were presented at the forum, in which all structural divisions of credit financial institutions of GBAO actively participated.

Also, within the framework of the International Investment Forum, on July 26, the National Bank of Tajikistan held a separate panel on the topic “Improving the financial literacy of entrepreneurs in the financial and banking sector”.

 

The event was attended by more than 100 entrepreneurs from the cities and districts of GBAO, representatives of credit and financial institutions and international organizations.

 

In the course of the presentation, various subjects were discussed, including the National Financial Inclusion Strategy for the Republic of Tajikistan and its significance in fostering entrepreneurial initiatives. The main criteria for the 2022-2026 Financial Inclusion Strategy in GBAO were outlined, along with the importance of enhancing financial literacy as a crucial aspect of broadening financial accessibility. The discussion also covered the activities of the SUE SB RT “Amonatbank” in GBAO, and highlighted how improving financial literacy can bolster the growth of small and medium entrepreneurship.

                        

At the end of the event, a contract worth 1.3 million somoni was signed between the “Rushdie Kuhiston” Microcredit Organization and the United States Agency for International Cooperation (USAID).
