A consultative training seminar titled "Activities to explain the content and importance of non-cash settlements and volunteers’ activity in state and non-state banks in Dushanbe» took place on September 25th, 2024, in Dushanbe. This event was organized by the Dushanbe City State Executive Body and the National Bank of Tajikistan, in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 586 dated June 22nd, 2023 “On measures to expand non-cash settlements.
Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Ikromi Sirojiddin Salom, Deputy Chairman of Dushanbe city Abdurahmonzoda Abdurahmon Safarali, representatives of a number of credit organizations of the country and a large group of volunteers took part in the seminar.
The Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan emphasized the significant role that technological advancements and evolving societal needs play in contemporary life. Specifically, the growing prevalence of digital payment methods facilitates swift and convenient financial transactions, eliminating the need for physical currency. Non-cash payment methods not only enhance accessibility to various financial services but also contribute significantly to improved financial security. To effectively realize these objectives, the active involvement of volunteers is crucial and represents a vital step towards sustainable economic growth at the national level.
Deputy Chairman of Dushanbe city Abdurahmonzoda A.S. emphasized the significance of non-cash payments within society. He highlighted their role in fostering a digital economy and enabling efficient management of financial operations.
It was emphasized that the event is designed to enhance participants' understanding of the subject matter and equip them to apply this knowledge effectively in future endeavors.
Then, specialists of the banking system made a presentation on the topics "Digitalization of payments: its essence and advantages", "Non-cash settlement", "Content and importance of non-cash settlement" and "The National Bank of Tajikistan is an authorized body in the direction of increasing the level of financial literacy of the population" and answered the questions of the participants.
In the final part of the event, it was underlined that the advocacy activity of volunteers in the direction of utilizing non-cash payments is significant, as they may contribute to the growth of society, the promotion of non-cash payments, and raising the population's financial literacy.
