On October 9 of this year, the Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan, Sirojiddin Ikromi, held a virtual meeting with representatives of the International Financial Corporation (IFC). At the meeting, issues related to regulatory legal documents were discussed within the framework of the "Assets-based Finance Development Program" for the Republic of Tajikistan.
During the meeting, the delegation from the International Finance Corporation (IFC) presented its analysis of the asset-based financing project in the Republic of Tajikistan and its legal framework. The presentation detailed the program's scope, the results of the diagnostic assessment, the main proposals and recommendations, the rules for licensing activities and control, asset-based financing regulations, and an analysis of the prudential regulation method.
It was also noted that the Roadmap outlines plans for further improvements to the regulatory framework for financing movable assets. These improvements include raising awareness and building stakeholder capacity.
In conclusion, the parties agreed to continue dialogue and cooperation for the effective implementation of the program for developing finance based on movable assets.
