On November 4 of this year, a ceremonial event was held at the National Bank of Tajikistan in honor of the 30th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan. The event was attended by the Management of the National Bank of Tajikistan, Dr. Mahmad Zabir Rahimzoda, Doctor of Legal Sciences and Professor and associate member of AMIT, as well as bank employees.
The Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan, Firdavs Tolibzoda, noted in his speech that "On November 6, 1994, the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan was adopted through a national referendum. This initiative by the Founder of National Peace and Unity, the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Honorable Emomali Rahmon, marked a pivotal moment in the history of Tajikistan's new statehood. This legal document formalized the independence of the Tajik state, defined its political and legal foundations, and outlined the main directions for the future strengthening and development of the country in accordance with internationally recognized standards. The adoption of the Constitution reflected the desire and will of the citizens to ensure the guarantee of their rights and freedoms and to build a stable, developing independent Tajikistan."
Dr. Rahimzoda M.Z., Doctor of Legal Sciences and Professor, as well as an associate member of AMIT, stated that "the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan, as an important political document, is a unique achievement of the independence period and plays a crucial role in forming the foundations of the state structure, strengthening and developing national legislation, and solidifying the stable foundations of complete political independence for this new stage of Tajikistan's development as an independent state. The Constitution helps ensure peace and stability, national unity, and has become the main factor guaranteeing the stability of Tajik society’s political life."
Further, legal department specialists and representatives from youth and women's organizations within the bank spoke about this important political and legal document. Specifically, they noted that recognizing the Tajik language as the state language in the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan allows for honoring the national and cultural values of the Tajik nation, creating favorable conditions for national self-knowledge and artistic expression, and fostering the development of the Tajik language as a vital pillar of national identity.
At the same time, it is said that amendments and additions to the Constitution define the status and place of a person and a citizen in society. They encourage the country's population to engage in development and creativity, pay attention to cultural values and national sanctity, protect the integrity and security of society, maintain and strengthen national unity, and guide the achievement of state independence.
In conclusion, the Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan congratulated the audience on this great event and emphasized that every citizen of Tajikistan is obligated to uphold the Constitution's principles as a foundation for their lives and contribute to the nation's progress and its economic and social well-being.
