Meeting with credit financial institutions representatives
On February 13th of this year, as part of the Action Plan for the implementation of the National Financial Inclusion Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2022-2026, a working meeting was held with the participation of representatives from the National Bank of Tajikistan and credit financial institutions of the republic. The aim of the event was to strengthen cooperation and coordinate further actions aimed at increasing the level of financial literacy among the population.
In order to improve the level of financial literacy of the population and business entities, the National Bank of Tajikistan, together with credit, financial and insurance organizations, as well as development partners, held a number of educational and training events in 2024, including trainings, seminars, consultations, meetings and financial literacy festivals, which were attended by more than 148 thousand people. The results of monitoring the level of achievement of target indicators of financial inclusion show that the state of these indicators in terms of access to financial services has reached the planned target level.
During the meeting, representatives of credit financial institutions exchanged opinions on their work experience and made proposals for enhancing cooperation in this area.
It is worth noting that in order to achieve the goals of the Strategy in the main areas of its activities, a governing structure has been created: the Coordination Council, the Executive Committee and thematic working groups. The activities of the Coordination Council are carried out under the leadership of the National Bank of Tajikistan.
