Discussion on issues related to the financial inclusion of women, youth, and small and medium-sized enterprise

On March 5, 2025, a meeting of the Special sub-working group to expand the economic rights and opportunities of women and youth was held. Representatives from the National Bank of Tajikistan, the State Committee for Investment and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Committee on Women and Family Affairs under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, and the Committee on Youth and Sports under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan participated in the meeting. The meeting discussed issues related to the financial inclusion of women, youth, and small and medium-sized enterprise, including protecting their rights, increasing their financial literacy, and improving their access to financial services.

    

At the beginning of the meeting, Norov A., Head of the methodology and of regulatory legal acts development department of the Scientific Research Institute of the National Bank of Tajikistan, introduced a presentation on "The process of implementing the action plan for the implementation of the National Financial Inclusion Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan in 2024." He informed participants about the goals and main directions of the Strategy, its management and implementation mechanism, the level of implementation of the action plan in 2024, the use of financial services, access to them, changes in credit provision to women, and the quality of financial services.

Further, Sharipova A., a participant in the “Women’s world banking leadership diversity program for regulators 2024,” who is implementing the project on "Expanding access to financial leverage for women entrepreneurs," introduced a presentation to the participants on "Women's world banking: advancing and diversity for regulators 2024."

    

Following the presentations, participants exchanged views on their experiences in this area and received specific answers to their questions about the implementation process of the Action plan for the Implementation of the National Financial Inclusion Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan.
