On March 7, 2025, a festive cultural gathering was held at the National Bank of Tajikistan dedicated to Mother's Day. The event was attended by the leadership and women of the central office as well as veterans of the bank.
Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan, Firdavs Tolibzoda, sincerely congratulated the women present, representing mothers, sisters, and all women in the country, on this glorious Mother’s Day. He noted that the holiday was declared an official holiday at the initiative of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon.
Tolibzoda stated that historically, mothers have been recognized as the primary figures responsible for nurturing and safeguarding humanity. The placement of Mother's Day celebrations around the spring equinox, prior to International Navruz Day, holds profound symbolic significance.
He emphasized that it is the high status of motherhood, the daily labors, and the loving and kind nature of mothers that has led humanity to always cherish them as the greatest and holiest beings.
The Chairman highlighted that the Leader of the Nation consistently pays special attention to issues related to mothers and women in his conversations, meetings, and speeches. He respects, recognizes, and comprehensively supports this segment of society as an enterprising, responsible, and hardworking force.
Tolibzoda specifically mentioned the Leader of the Nation’s Address to the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, where he emphasized that respect for women and mothers has always held a special place in Tajik culture and civilization. During the period of independence, significant attention has been given to the status and role of women in building a modern state and developing society. Currently, 25 percent of civil servants, 73 percent of education workers, 71 percent of medical workers, 47 percent of cultural workers, 37 percent of scientists, and 30 percent of entrepreneurs in the country are women. Today, more than 110 thousand women are engaged in entrepreneurial activities.
He noted that the National Bank of Tajikistan also pays special attention to improving the qualifications of female employees, their training and professional development, and the selection and placement of professional and educated women in management positions. Currently, women make up 30 percent of the total number of employees, of which 14 percent hold management positions.
Following this, Sulton Hasan Barotzoda, Head of the Translation Division and Doctor of Philology, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, congratulated women on the beautiful and unique holiday of Mother’s Day. He delighted the participants with recitations from his own poetry.
Members of the bank's youth organization also praised women by reciting poems that celebrated women as a symbol of eternal and fruitful life.
In the second part of the event, a group of artists and comedians entertained the women and audience with a beautiful cultural and entertainment program.
At the conclusion of the event, the leadership of the National Bank of Tajikistan once again congratulated women, girls, and bank veterans on this glorious holiday, wishing them a peaceful, happy, prosperous, and fulfilling life. They expressed confidence that in response to the care of the state and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, women will continue to make valuable contributions to raising children, promoting morality, values, and other national sacred things, as well as to the banking system.
