Financial Literacy Festival in Norak city
In the scope of instructions and tasks given by the Founder of peace and national unity - Leader of nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, honorable Emomali Rahmon, the Financial Literacy Festival was held on April 30, 2025 at the Culture Palace and Central square of Norak city by the initiative of National Bank of Tajikistan, representatives of credit financial institutions and insurance organizations.
At the ceremony of festival opening, the Deputy Chairman of NBT Gulbahor Naziri and Chairman of Norak city Ibrohim Mirzozoda addressed the meeting on the purpose of festival and called the participants upon making efforts to raise the level of financial literacy and knowledge constantly.
There were also the NBT staff members, representatives of the Agency on securities and special registration, Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan, credit and financial institutions and insurance organizations at the meeting and have made presentations on topics related to financial literacy including "Financial inclusion in Tajikistan”, “Development and regulation of securities market in Tajikistan ", " The role of cash in the modern economy”, “ Prevention of financial fraud", " Essence and advantages of digitization of payments ”, “ Insurance system of the Republic of Tajikistan" and other banking and financial system issues and discussed the experience in this direction.
The cultural program featuring famous singers and musicians ended the festival on a joyful note and delighted the audience.
It is worth to note that the financial literacy festivals are held in the scope of efficient implementation of National financial inclusion strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2022-2026 and their goal to expand the access of population to financial and insurance services, to increase the financial literacy level of population by arranging interesting events and thus to encourage the population to improve its financial literacy, to burst awareness on provided financial and insurance services.
