Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Daler Murodalizoda held a meeting with representatives of the World Bank - Head of the World Bank Group's Financial Sector for Europe and Central Asia Pietro Caliche, team members Anita Okemini and Monica Harutyunyan on May 20, 2025 in the framework of the implementation of the “Strengthening the Financial System in Tajikistan – Stage II” program.
During the meeting, the parties have discussed important issues of cooperation aimed at strengthening the stability, transparency of the financial system and expanding financial inclusion in the country. As part of the implementation of the National Financial Inclusion Strategy, a special attention was paid to the creation of a single web portal for comparing prices and conditions of financial services, which will contribute to strengthening the protection of financial services consumer rights, developing a competitive environment in the banking sector and raising the level of financial literacy of the population.
It was also discussed other business issues at the meeting, including the further development of methodological guidelines for financial institutions on data transfer and updating, testing of this platform with the participation of stakeholders as well as improving the professional skills of the National Bank of Tajikistan employees in the context of the transition to digitalization of the financial sector.
