On October 14, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of Nation honorable Emomali Rahmon participated in and addressed the International Investment Forum "Dushanbe Invest 2025" at “Kokhi Vahdat” palace in the capital of the country.
President Emomali Rahmon has welcomed forum participants upon their arrival in Tajikistan.
It was noted that the main goals of the forum are to showcase Tajikistan's vast resources and investment opportunities, the country's willingness for cooperation, new technologies and ideas, and the government's commitment to continuing reforms and transformations that create favorable conditions for sustainable development and formation of long-term partnerships. He has emphasized that the Dushanbe forum is dedicated to "green" investments that ensure sustainable economic development while taking into account social justice and the rational use of natural resources. It was stated that this is precisely why the forum is being held under the title "Green Investments: Today's Opportunities for a Sustainable Future."
Head of the State honorable Emomali Rahmon has stressed that the forum will create an important foundation for developing practical solutions, strengthening mutual trust and unlocking the region's investment potential based on the principles of sustainability and mutual benefit.
In particular, it was stated that Tajikistan's strategic location in the center of Eurasia allows us to act as a link between regions and continents, opening new transport, energy and logistics corridors, which will facilitate the unification of markets and diverse peoples.
Head of the State honorable Emomali Rahmon has emphasized that "modern Tajikistan is a country with a rapidly developing economy, promoting the development of international relations and creating a favorable investment environment." It was noted that in recent years, our country has been implementing comprehensive reforms aimed at strengthening macroeconomic development, developing the private sector, supporting entrepreneurship, digitalization and implementing innovative solutions.
Head of the State honorable Emomali Rahmon highlighted Tajikistan's vast hydropower potential, rich metal reserves and strategically important resources, as well as its young and strong human capital, as our country's competitive advantages.
An exchange of views took place on the need to prioritize the development of a green economy and the approval of a Green Economy Development Strategy in the Republic of Tajikistan through 2037. Considering energy capabilities and resources, interested companies were offered promising investment projects in this area.
Investors engaged in the production of modern technologies, batteries, and renewable energy sources were also encouraged to contribute to large-scale projects in these areas. Head of the State honorable Emomali Rahmon also presented the forum participants with other investment opportunities in the country, including light and food industries, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, construction materials production, agro-industrial complex and tourism.
President of the country honorable Emomali Rahmon has stated: "The Government of Tajikistan regularly takes measures to create a favorable business environment. Today, we have provided investors with over 240 guarantees and various benefits, more than 110 of which are tax and customs related."
He also described Tajikistan's five free economic zones as favorable for the trading activities of entrepreneurs and investors.
He emphasized that our strategic goal is to transform Tajikistan into a reliable country for long-term investment, which is aimed at the sustainable development of cooperation and partnership in the global economy.
October 14 marks Entrepreneurship Day in Tajikistan.
On this occasion, the President Emomali Rahmon warmly congratulated all entrepreneurs in the country, wishing them good health, success, and new achievements in their endeavors.
Concluding his speech, Head of the State has expressed confidence that the forum will lay the foundation for new beneficial initiatives, strengthen cooperation, and bring tangible results to the interests of the peoples of the countries and the development of the world.
