On November 1, 2025, the National Bank of Tajikistan held an awards ceremony for the winners of the Best Essay Competition on the topic "National Currency – A Symbol of Statehood." The management of NBT, representatives of the State Institution "Center for Identifying and Developing Talents of Dushanbe," members of the jury and the competition participants have attended the event.
Firdavs Tolibzoda, Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan, and Nigora Sultonzoda, Director of the State Institution "Center for Identifying and Developing Talents of Dushanbe," have noted the important role of the national currency as one of the main symbols of statehood and sovereignty and congratulated the participants and winners on the 25th anniversary of the introduction of the national currency, the somoni.
The winners of the competition were awarded with commemorative prizes and in a grand ceremony. According to the results of the competition, first place was taken by a student of the State Educational Institution "Lyceum No. 2" Marodmamadova Mavluda, second and third places were taken by students of the State Educational Institution "Lyceum No. 1" Mirzoeva Amina and Umarova Shakhnoza.
It's worth noting that a total of 47 students from Dushanbe high-schools have participated in the competition. In addition to the winners, 16 active participants from Gymnasiums No. 1 and No. 2, Secondary General Education Institutions No. 19, No. 31, No. 60, No. 99, No. 100, and the Umar Khayyam Lyceum, whose works received high marks from the jury, were awarded certificates and commemorative gifts from the National Bank of Tajikistan.
We remind that this competition was organized by the National Bank of Tajikistan in collaboration with the State Institution "Center for Identification and Development of Talents in Dushanbe" among students in grades 10 and 11.
