On June 4, 2026, Daler Murodalizoda Usmon, Deputy Chairman of National Bank of Tajikistan met with the Vice President of Commercial Group and Head of the Representative Office of International Rating Agency “Moody’s Ratings” in Central Asia Alma Karabasova, during which issues of mutual cooperation, assessment of the sovereign credit rating of Tajikistan and current situation of the country’s financial sector were discussed.
Daler Murodalizoda has assessed as positive the fruitful cooperation with the International Rating Agency “Moody’s Ratings” and noted that it plays an important role in strengthening the confidence of international financial community in the economy of Tajikistan.
In addition, Alma Karabasova, Vice President of Commercial Group and Head of the Moody’s Ratings Representative Office in Central Asia, has made a detailed presentation for the attendees on the rating methodology and main factors for determining the rating, including indicators of financial stability, fiscal policy, institutional stability and potential risks of unforeseen situations as well as on the company’s activities, the scope of its services in the countries of Central Asia and opportunities for cooperation in the field of credit assessment.
It was noted that Moody’s provides credit and insurance institutions with a wide range of rating and analytical services, contributing to strengthening transparency, risk management and attracting investment in the financial sector.
Heads of relevant structural subdivisions of the National Bank of Tajikistan, who have expressed their views on presented materials and certain areas of determining rating indicators have attended the meeting.
