On September 28, 2026, Sibos 2026—the 48th international financial industry forum organized by SWIFT—kicked off in Miami, USA. A delegation from the National Bank of Tajikistan, led by First Deputy Chairman Firuz Homiddin Sharifzoda, is participating in this major international financial event.
The main theme of this year's conference is "Digital finance for AI-driven economies." The event will feature over 250 thematic sessions covering topics such as the evolution of the global financial system, the enhancement of cross-border payments, the use of digital technologies and artificial intelligence, the development of digital assets, the operational resilience of financial institutions, and the security of financial infrastructure.
During the Sibos 2026 forum, the National Bank of Tajikistan delegation is expected to hold a series of meetings with the leadership of SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication), representatives of central banks, major international banks and financial institutions, as well as leading global companies specializing in payment technologies and financial infrastructure.
It should be noted that the SWIFT international financial industry forum, Sibos 2026, runs from September 28 to October 1,2026. Alongside the National Bank of Tajikistan delegation, representatives from a number of the country's credit and financial institutions are also participating in the forum.
