On September 29, 2026, the delegation of the National Bank of Tajikistan met with a representative of Commerzbank AG on the sidelines of the Sibos 2026 international financial forum. The meeting focused on the further development of bilateral cooperation, the exchange of experience, and the expansion of professional ties across various areas of banking activity.
During the meeting, particular attention was focused on implementing new SWIFT standards, developing payment systems, digitalizing banking processes, and aligning the financial infrastructure with modern international requirements. In this context, the parties agreed to continue exchanging practical experience and conducting working consultations among industry experts. They also emphasized the importance of studying international best practices to enhance the reliability, efficiency, and stability of payment systems.
The parties also discussed issues related to the green economy and green finance, the development of support mechanisms for sustainable projects, and the management of international resources—including the use of modern financial instruments and asset management approaches that prioritize safety, liquidity, and profitability.
In concluding the meeting, the parties emphasized their interest in the expansion of professional ties, the conduct of joint consultations, and the maintenance of a regular working dialogue on matters of mutual interest.
