Volume of transactions on US dollar in the interbank currency market as against last day has increased, where the average rate of US dollar buying and selling made 4.3994 somoni, and decreased by 1.8%.
Today within the day, the average rate of US dollar buying and selling in the exchange offices of Dushanbe did not change and made 4,36-4,40 somoni. The average rates on operations with the Russian ruble and Euro have a little changed and made 1,40-1,42 somoni and 6,10-6,12 somoni accordingly.
On Monday foreign exchange offices have begun their daily work and according to the information of exchange offices the average rate of US dollar buying and selling is established at the rate of 4,36-4,40 somoni.
On May 29, within the day it was observed a decrease of the US dollar exchange rate against Somoni from 4,75 somoni to 4,45 somoni.
The inflation rate in the Republic of Tajikistan for April of 2009 decreased to 0,1%, it made 1,1% from the beginning of the year that is less for 3,4% against the similar period of past year.
According to recent data the amount of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for January – April of current year made 4 426,5 million Somoni and its real growth in comparative prices against the similar period of previous year made 2,9%.</p>
On May 5 of current year the average exchange rate of purchase and sale of US dollar in the exchange offices of Dushanbe was unchanged and made 4,15 Somoni. The currency market state testifies to satisfaction of demand for foreign currency, and in some cases a certain demand for Somoni increases.
On May 4 of current year by increasing money supply in the market, the average exchange rate of purchase and sale of cash US dollar has been decreased as against the working days of last week and at the average made 4.15 Somoni in Dushanbe.
