30.04.2009 In cash market the average rate of purchase and sale of US dollar decreased by 4, 15

On April 29 the commercial banks, credit organizations and the National Bank of Tajikistan have begun to implement operations on sale of foreign currency. The started sale has decreased a demand for foreign currency and promoted to decrease the average rate of purchase and sale of US dollar to 4, 15 somoni in the cash market.

On April 30 of current year as a result of realizing sale of foreign currency by banks, credit organizations and the National Bank of Tajikistan in the national currency market the average rate of purchase and sale of US dollar in the cash market has decreased from 4,15 to 4,12 somoni. At the same time, there is also an increasing demand for somoni for realizing current payments.

29.04.2009 The NBT coin takes part in competition

Since April 15 of this year there was begun the Internet - voting on competition «Monetary constellation - 2009», organised by publishing company "Uoter Mark", issuing a magazine on commemorative coin market «Gold tchervonets» and a magazine on protected production "Watermark". The coins of the Central Banks and Mints 21 countries of the world have been presented in this competition. It will last till May 31, 2009.

Over the last days the average rate of purchase and sale of US dollar has a tendency to increase and made at the average 4, 0850 - 4, 1050 somoni. The average rates are also changed on operations with Russian rouble and Euro, which made 0, 1179-0, 1203 and 5, 1985-5, 2019 somoni.

The special audit is made by the international audit company Ernst & Young according to the financial program of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan. This audit company was selected by the National Bank of Tajikistan on the base of competitive bidding from international audit companies of high reputation.

10.04.2009 Capital of the credit institutions continues to grow

As for the end of the first quarter of current year the balance sheet capital of credit institutions of the republic (banks, credit institutions, non-banking financial institutions and micro financing institutions) in total made 1 089 million somoni that is more to 42,3% in compare to the same period of the previous year.

10.04.2009 Number of credit institutions increases

At the end of the first quarter of current year there were 121 credit institutions including 12 banks, 7 credit societies, 1 non-banking financial institution and 101 micro financing institutions operating in the country. For this period the number of banks, credit societies, non-banking financial institutions remained the same and the number of micro financing institutions increased for 8 units.

10.04.2009 Assets of banking system rises

According to the recent data the assets of credit institutions as for the end of the first quarter of current year made 6 303,0 million somoni that is more to 0,6% against the same period of the previous year.
