On August 5, after publication on official newspaper “Jumhuriyat” the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Islamic banking activity” has come into force.
    It should be noted that the necessary measures directed on implementation of this law are undertaken. For realization of the above mentioned measures it is required working out of legal acts regulating credit institutions’ activity, wishing to carry out its activity by principles of Islamic banking.
    At present, there is a conducted consultation between the National Bank of Tajikistan and Islamic Development Bank on working out of necessary legal acts in implementation of Islamic banking activity and allocation of technical assistance (grant).
    Bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation with Islamic Development Bank allows to the group of experts of one international consulting company together with National bank’s employees to develop necessary legal acts for introduction of Islamic banking activity.
