The productive meeting has taken place

On July 1, 2015 in the National Bank of Tajikistan held meeting of Mr. Jamshed Nurmahmadzoda, Chairman of the NBT and Mr. Lu Tao, Vice-President of Sinzyan branch of the State Development Bank of China, and also with experts on work with projects of this bank, where have been discussed issues of expansion of effective bilateral cooperation.

In the beginning of the meeting Mr. Jamshed Nurmahmadzoda, Chairman of the NBT has noticed, that macroeconomic situation in the country for five months of current year is stable.

In connection with increase in volumes of population savings in the credit institutions, crediting growth in various economic subjects and increase on 7 % of incomes per capita, trust of population to banking system of the country becomes stronger.

«We are grateful to our Chinese partners that they always support our offers, and I am confident that our productive cooperation will develop further, having reached new level. Once again, the National Bank of Tajikistan expresses readiness to implement its obligations in due time» - said J. Nurmahmadzoda.

On this base, at the moment republic’s economy needs long-term loan in amount of USD 500 million for support of balance of payments, rate of national currency, development of energy sector, agriculture, processing of mining production and small and medium business. The Working Group of the National Bank of Tajikistan which is established with a view of carrying out of negotiations on these issues is ready to begin work with Chinese colleagues.

Mr. Lu Tao, Vice-President of Sinzyan branch of the State Development Bank of China has mentioned that the purpose of his visit to Tajikistan consists of detail discussions on lending. We consider that after discussions and all-round analysis of all aspects of further cooperation, there are real possibilities to sign the agreement on allocation of loan in amount of USD 500 million.

In the end of meeting parties have agreed that Working Groups of the National Bank of Tajikistan and the State Development Bank of China will continue discussions of started consultations in Dushanbe and than in Beijing.
