Project of Chinese company «Intellectual city» has been discussed in the NBT

On August 18, 2015 during a meeting of Sirojiddin Ikromov, Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan with representatives of the Chinese company «China Smart City Technology» under the guidance of the head of the above-named company Mr. Jim Nie have been discussed the project «Intellectual city» and possibility of its realization in the Republic of Tajikistan.

In the beginning of a meeting, Sirojiddin Ikromov, Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan has introduced visitors with a present situation in country’s banking system, achievements of the Tajik bankers for the first half of the year, especially in sphere of application of new information technologies in credit institutions’ activity and their plans for the future.

Then, Mr. Jim Nie has noticed that the company «China Smart City Technology» located in Shanghai and its production is widely used in spheres of education, public health services, transport, banking, information, agriculture and other spheres.

In the course of the talks it was noticed that there is possibility to coordinate activity of all banks of the country to use of intellectual cards on uniform prices (payments, transfers and others).

Also it was reported that realization of this project will allow to carry out payments directly or remote in all shops and transport, gathering of information in education sphere, medicine, exact definition of import and export of goods volume directly or remote in customs sphere, use of intellectual cards as ID, Internet of services payment on new and cheap way, preparation of experts on international standards in the sphere of information technologies.

At the same time, in the process of discussion it was noted that these technologies are already applied in many cities of the People's Republic of China where more than 30 million persons live and in 300 cities are at realization process. The project of intellectual city is used in such developed countries as China, Germany, France and Japan.

In conclusion Mr. Jim Nie has noticed that in case of access to these advanced technologies Tajikistan can become the basic development centre of these technologies in region.
