Cooperation with the Asian Development Bank

The National Bank of Tajikistan makes efforts for development and growth of national economy and banking system of the country for expansion of mutually beneficial international cooperation in close contact with the leading world financial organizations. The meeting which has taken place today, on August 27 between Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Umed Latifov and Said Zaidanshah, Senior Adviser of the Asian Development Bank, was one of such actions of bank.

During meeting parties have discussed issues concerning continuation of the technical assistance program of the ADB in sphere of strengthening of AML/CFT, carrying out of an estimation of national risk, improvement of legislation, organization of seminars/consultations and use of the advanced programs in this direction.

Representative of the ADB in the course of issues discussion has noticed that the ADB is satisfied by the level of cooperation with the National Bank of Tajikistan and expressed readiness for continuation of cooperation in this direction.

In the end of fruitful meeting parties decided that for realization of considered issues they should organize meetings and negotiations in the near future.
