Positive feedback on EBRD activity in Tajikistan

Issues of mutual relation and prospect of further strengthening have been discussed during meeting of Mr. Jamoliddin Nuraliev, First Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan with Mr. Leonard Kayt, Deputy Head of Analytical Estimation and Support of the EBRD Division on October 8, 2015. 

Today's meeting has been initiated for such actual studying and research issues, as a role of Representative Office of the EBRD in Tajikistan and its assistance to business and state authorities, reasons and ways of interaction with the aforementioned bank, EBRD activity in regions, its contribution to development of the country and its difference from other international financial organizations which function in our country. 

In the course of the talks Mr. Leonard Kayt, Deputy Head of Analytical Estimation and Support of the EBRD Division has noticed that their Division is independent and reports only to the Board of Governors and its main objective is all-round analysis of representations activity of bank in the world countries and estimation of activity results.

Also, he has noticed that Division’s employees visit 37 Representative Offices of Bank which are worldwide, and they conduct reviews among experts, and also meet ministries managment, agencies, organizations and Central banks. After, they represent reports to the EBRD Management. 

In the course of meeting Mr. Jamoliddin Nuraliev, First Deputy Chairman of the NBT has noticed that we are satisfied by the EBRD activity in Dushanbe, and as for many years this Bank has close relations with the Republic of Tajikistan and has brought the notable contribution in investment of the important state, financial and private projects. Currently, this Bank carries out a number of projects in various spheres of economy. Mr. Jamoliddin Nuraliev, along with other issues of cooperation has paid attention of Mr. Leonarda Kayta to support of financial sector of republic by the EBRD.

In end of meeting parties have declared that all-round analysis and researches of activity of the EBRD Representative Office in Dushanbe promotes increase of effective bilateral cooperation on qualitatively new level.
