Meeting with the mission of the World Bank Group

The mission of the World Bank Group has arrived to Dushanbe in the beginning of December and it will continue its work till December 16, current year.

In the framework of this working visit the First Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Mr. Nuraliev J. К has held a meeting with financial sector experts of the World Bank Group mission headed by Mr.Ralf Berndt on consideration of 3-years Action Program on financing of development policy and working out program of technical support to the National Bank of Tajikistan. 

During the meeting there were discussed issues on cooperation of parties basically in the framework of actions on specified programs implementation and results of financing program in the field of development.

Mr.Jamoliddin Nuraliev during the meeting has noted that the National Bank of Tajikistan has done certain works for realization of financial stability ensuring mechanism. In this connection there was established Financial Stability and Risk Analysis Management that already operates in the Bank. The issue of establishment of Financial Stability Committee is under consideration of the NBT Board. The works on amendments preparation to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On National Bank of Tajikistan” are in progress. 

The head of the World Bank Group mission Mr. Rolf Berndt has noted that the World Bank will render Technical Assistance namely for implementation of all selected programs of banking system.

During the meeting parties also have discussed other aspects of bilateral cooperation between the National Bank of Tajikistan and the World Bank.
