REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

For Local IT Consultant to support the National Bank of Tajikistan in implementation of the National Processing Center for Remittances (NPCR).

The Republic of Tajikistan has received Grant from the World Bank in the amount of US$ 10 Million toward the cost of the Private Sector Competitiveness project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for hiring IT consultant.

Local IT Consultant will assist the NBT in preparation of Bidding Documents for the National Processing Center; evaluating bids; conducting contractual negotiations with the successful bidder; and the launching of the system.

Requirements for the candidate:

1) Practical experience (not less than 5 years) in the implementation of Bank Processing Center Development .

2) Experience successfully completing at least 2 projects in the implementation Bank Processing Center Development and relevant projects regarding payment systems.

3) Knowledge in the areas of payment-settlement systems, remittances, and risk management related to suppliers working in the area of payment, settlement and remittances.

4) Excellent knowledge of Tajik and/or Russian languages is essential. Good English language, desired.

A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the selection of Individual Consultants (IC) method set out in the World Bank’s Consultant Guidelines.

Interested consultants must provide information demonstrating that they are qualified to perform the Services (CV, copy of documents evidencing appropriate qualifications and skills, description of similar tasks performed, etc).
