Visit of delegation of the Islamic corporation on Private Sector Development in the National bank of Tajikistan

The meeting of Mr. Jamshed Nurmahmadzoda, Chairman of the National bank of Tajikistan with delegation of the Islamic Corporation on Private Sector Development (ICD) headed by Mr. Halid Al-Abudi, Director General for consideration of some bilateral cooperation issues has taken place today, on February 17, 2017 in the National bank Tajikistan. 

At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Jamshed Nurmahmadzoda, Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan has acquainted the ISD delegation with macroeconomic situation and achieved results in development of documents for introduction of Islamic banking in the Republic of Tajikistan. 

During the meeting the parties have discussed issues of deepening of bilateral cooperation in various spheres of economy, hydropower, banking systems, including Islamic banking, growth of operations with Islamic securities (Sukuk), development of Small and Medium Enterprise by attracting investments.

In turn, Mr. Halid Al-Abudi, Director General of the ICD has expressed interest in development of cooperation for supporting of SMEs by establishing of investment funds. In this regard Mr. J. Nurmahmadzoda has expressed willingness for mutually beneficial co-operation with the given Corporation. It is necessary to note that the meeting has passed in friendship and mutual understanding atmosphere.

Also Mr. Jamoliddin Nuraliev, First Deputy Chairman of the National bank of Tajikistan, Mr. Sirojiddin Ikromi, Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan, Mr. Hudo Riza, Senior Consultancy Manager of the ICD Asset Management, Mr. Samir Takiev, Regional Manager of the ICD on CIS and EU and heads of structural subdivisions of the National bank of Tajikistan took part at the meeting.

It should be noted that within the working visit of the Islamic Corporation on Private Sector Development delegation it is expected a meeting with the First Deputy Prime Minister of the country, management of the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management, Ministry of Finance of the Republic Tajikistan.
