Meeting of Jamoliddin Nuraliev with the World Bank Mission

On July 25, 2017, Mr. Jamoliddin Nuraliev, First Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan has received the World Bank Delegation led by Ms. Lilia Razlog, Senior Debt Specialist in the Microeconomics and Fiscal Management Global Practice of the World Bank.

In the beginning of meeting Mr. Jamoliddin Nuraliev, First Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan has acquainted visitors with the latest macroeconomic indicators of the country and current situation of banking system.

In turn Ms. Lilia Razlog, Senior Debt Specialist in the Microeconomics and Fiscal Management Global Practice of the World Bank has stated that the purpose of visit of the World Bank Delegation to the Republic of Tajikistan is realization of technical assistance on mid-term debts management strategy (MTDS). Also, arrangement of educational trainings for representatives of the Ministry of Finance and the National Bank of Tajikistan is the main goal of technical assistance for development of mid-term debts management strategy.

During the working meeting parties have discussed problems concerning release of treasury bills of NBT and Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan, fiscal policy and its role in debts management strategy.

Other aspects of bilateral cooperation between the National Bank of Tajikistan and the World Bank also have been discussed during the meeting.

At the end of the meeting Mr. Jamoliddin Nuraliev, First Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan has expressed satisfaction with bilateral cooperation level with the World Bank, and willingness for participation in realization of abovementioned technical assistance program.

It is necessary to note that Mr. Jan-Peter Olters, World Bank Country Manager for Tajikistan, Ms. Gohar Gyulumyan, and Mr. Bahrom Ziyaev, World Bank economists, Ms. Zarina Abdulalieva, World Bank projects and strategy coordinator and also heads of NBT key structural subdivisions also have taken part at the given meeting.
