NBT: Hokim Kholiqzoda meets Hervé Joly

On September 25, 2023, the Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Kholiqzoda Hokim Hikmatullo held a meeting with the Director of the Joint Vienna Institute (JVI) Hervé Joly, during which the sides discussed the issues related to cooperation in the field of retraining of specialists and organization of training courses.

Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Tajikistan Naziri Gulbahor Nazir also attended and addressed the meeting.

The Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Hokim Kholiqzoda welcomed the Director of the Joint Vienna Institute (JVI) Hervé Joly to the National Bank of Tajikistan, and expressed gratitude to the Joint Vienna Institute for fruitful cooperation in the field of organizing training events, which are held at a high professional level. The JVI courses cover relevant topics relating to the economic, financial and banking sectors.

During the meeting, it was noted that the Joint Vienna Institute (JVI) is considered one of the leading financial institutions for advanced training of specialists of state financial institutions and central banks, and plays an important role in improving and strengthening the knowledge and retraining of specialists in the fields of economics and finance.

The trainings organized by the Institute cover a wide range of topics such as macroeconomic policy formulation and macroeconomic management, monetary and exchange rate policy, financial stability, macroeconomic and financial statistics, as well as many specialized topics.

It was noted that over the years of cooperation with the Institute, more than 500 employees of the National Bank of Tajikistan have participated in the educational events organized by the Joint Vienna Institute and improved their knowledge and skills level.

Director of the Joint Vienna Institute (JVI) Mr. Hervé Joly thanked for the warm welcome and stated that today's meeting is important for the Joint Vienna Institute. This is his first visit to Tajikistan and his first meeting at the National Bank of Tajikistan.

At the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Hokim Kholiqzoda once again expressed his gratitude to the Joint Vienna Institute for cooperation in the field of organization of educational events and hoped that from now on the number of trainings organized by the Institute for the National Bank of Tajikistan will increase.
