Meeting of Hokim Kholiqzoda with Hela Cheikhrouhou

On the sidelines of the Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group in the city of Marrakesh, Kingdom of Morocco, the Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan, Hokim Kholiqzoda, and the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan, Faiziddin Qahhorzoda, met with the regional Vice-President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Ms. Hela Cheikhrouhou.

At the meeting, the management of the International Finance Corporation was thanked for many years of fruitful cooperation. It was noted that IFC as one of the most reliable partners of Tajikistan plays a key role in providing technical assistance to the National Bank of Tajikistan, aimed at improving the level of corporate governance in the banking sector of the country, consumer rights’ protection, improving the regulatory legal framework, promoting the development of modern digital financial services.

It was also emphasized that the NBT together with the IFC has done a tremendous job in developing the National Financial Inclusion Strategy for the period 2022-2026.

In conclusion, the parties expressed gratitude for the fruitful meeting and expressed confidence in further development and strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation between the National Bank of Tajikistan and the International Finance Corporation.
