Participation of the Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Hokim Kholiqzoda in International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group Annual meetings in Morocco, Kingdom of Morocco

On October 9, 2023, Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Kholiqzoda Hokim Hikmatullo and Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan Qahhorzoda Faiziddin Sattor arrived in the city of Morocco of the Kingdom of Morocco in order to participate in the Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund, which are scheduled to be held on October 9-15, 2023.

Within the framework of these meetings Hokim Holiqzoda and Faiziddin Qahhorzoda held a number of meetings with Mr. Jihad Azur, Director of the Middle East and Central Asia Department, Ms. Antonella Bassani, Vice-President of the World Bank for Europe and Central Asia, and Mr. Bo Li, Deputy Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund.

During the meetings, questions were raised related to the country's economy, investment, especially the process of implementation of state investment programs in the field of energy and other important spheres of economy. The sides expressed their views on these issues, as well as showed interest in developing cooperation in other spheres as well.

In addition, during the meetings the parties discussed issues related to key reforms of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan initiated by international financial organizations.
