Festival of Financial literacy in Kulob town

On 14 December of current year a festival of financial competence was held in Kulob State University named after Abuabdullo Rudaky with participation of representatives of financial credit and insurance institutions, local and foreign partners on development. 

Chairman of Kulob town Munavarsho Tashrifzoda made a welcoming speech and pointed out the role, essence and necessity of financial literacy development.

Then, Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Gulbahor Naziri made a speech and informed those present on executed works concerning realization of the tasks stipulated by “National Strategy of financial inclusiveness of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2022-2026 years”. She also pointed out a role of financial literacy in development of banking system of the country

After that, rector of Kulob State University named after Abuabdullo Rudaky Dilshod Rahmon addressed and expressed his opinions on essence and ways of rise of financial literacy level of population noting that this issue is one of the main tasks of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and a special attention is paid to it.  

In the framework of the mentioned event specialists of banking system, successful entrepreneurs and representatives of foreign companies made a speech on various themes concerning financial literacy, including:

Director of Financial Monitoring Department under the National Bank of Tajikistan Halim Mirzoaliev - on the theme of “Prevention of fraudulent actions in financial system”, Furqat Rahmatov – Deputy Head– Head of Analysis and Development of Digital Financial Services Division of the National Bank of Tajikistan - on the theme of “Digitalization of payments and expansion of payment infrastructure”, Adviser to IFC Boboalieva Zarina –- on the theme of “Influence of social norms on financial behavior”, Expert of German Sparkassenstiftung Olim Zayniddinzoda –- on the theme of “Financial literacy – an important basis of successful business” and Deputy Head – Head of Insurance Supervision Management of the National Bank of Tajikistan Boburkhon Boboev - on the theme of “Insurance system in the Republic of Tajikistan”.   

It should be also noted that for the event to be interesting and exciting famous humorists had been invited who represented thematic satirical scenes.

At the final part of the event quiz was conducted and active participators won prizes.

It should be noted that more than 300 students and teachers of educational institutions of secondary, general and professional education, employees of financial credit and foreign institutions took part in the event.

Also, in the second part of the event an exhibition of financial and insurance products was organized in the yard of Kulob State University named after Abuabdullo Rudaky. Employees of financial credit and insurance institutions and individual entrepreneurs took part in it and exhibited their products.  

In the course of the event representatives of credit and insurance institutions conducted various intellectual games with the participants and rewarded the most active ones with prizes.

So, more than 3 000 persons took part in the festival in the town of Kulob. More than 1 million had been informed on conduction of the events via TV, radio, as well as Facebook and Instagram social networks.
