You inspire us to self-awareness……

With the aim of fulfillment of instructions of the   Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, honorable Emomali Rahmon on results of business trip to the cities of Khujand, Guliston and Bobojonghafurov district dated 14-15 November and instructions of the Head of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan dated December 21, 2023, №24/10-404, on January 23, 2024 a training seminar devoted to works of poetess Roziya Ozod and the book of Academician Bobojon Ghafurov “Tojikon” (The Tajiks) was held in the National Bank of Tajikistan.

Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Gulbahor Naziri, Deputy Head of History, Archeology and Ethnography Division of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan named after Ahmadi Donish, the candidate of historical sciences, docent Abdullo Ghafurov, Chairman of the Center of Literature Propaganda of the Writer’s Union of Tajikistan Abdullo Rahmon and the employees of the National Bank of Tajikistan participated in the seminar.

Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Gulbahor Naziri opened the seminar with an introductory speech and stated that great sons make contribution to formation of nation and people and their names will never be forgotten.

Academician Bobojon Ghafurov is the honorable member of scientific organizations of foreign countries, honorary doctor of a number of authoritative domestic and foreign organizations, Javaharlal Neru prize winner and foreign states prize winner, the personality of Tajik people who could characterize Tajiks as civilized ancient people with rich history by his great scientific work.

Bobojon Ghafurov left rich scientific heritage numbering about 400 and among his works “The Tajiks” is of course an outstanding one.

“The Tajiks” is the best historical heritage which has not lost its significance so far, as the history of not only Tajik people but also the entire region is reflected in it.

At the end of her speech Naziri added that as far back as 2019 the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, honorable Emomali Rahmon in his Address to the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan pointed out: “We need to know our ancestors and our origins, respect them and be proud of being the successors of Arians, i.e. Arian origin. In this regard with a view to deeply exploring the glorious history of the Tajik people, the Government of the country is mandated to publish
Bobojon Ghafurov’s “The Tajiks” at the expense of the Presidential Fund and distribute as a gift on behalf of the Head of State by one copy to each family in the country by the 30^th anniversary of the State Independence”.

Also in 2023, an International Scientific Symposium was held in honour of 115^th anniversary of Academician Bonojon Ghafurov with participation honorable Emomali Rahmon - the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan.

It had been also noted that the Head of the State in his speech mentioned fruitful activity of Bobojon Ghafurov, an environment where the Hero of Tajikistan grew up and stated that “Bobojon Ghafurov grew up in the environment of people where love to science and knowledge, culture and civilization were valued. Namely, Bobojon Ghafurov’s mother a famous poetess Roziya Ozod, who knew classics works very well, paid a big and crucial role in the molding of personality of her son”.

As a result, Bobobjon Ghafurov became a great politician and statesman advocated life-giving national and historical values of the Tajik people at that hard times and made an incomparable contribution to the development of national self-awareness of the Tajik people.

Gulbahor Naziri pointed out that the employees of the National Bank of Tajikistan and banking system are to know and respect their history, to study the bright pages of heroic and brave acts of descendants, to propagandize history as a patriotic idea and dedication to the Motherland.
