Banknotes with denomination of 50 British pounds with John Haublon's image will be withdrawn from circulation
The Bank of England has announced that banknotes with denominations of 50 pounds of the old sample with John Haublon's image will be withdrawn from circulation from April 30, 2014. The given denominations will be freely used till the specified date. After withdrawal of these denominations from circulation the banks and Construction Companies within several months will accept them as the deposit in settlement accounts of clients.
Besides, such credit organizations as Barclays, RBS, NatWest and Ulster Bank and the Post Office notified that till April 30, 2014 will exchange up to 200 pounds of banknotes with denomination of 50 pounds in all branches in other countries.
The Bank of England has announced that will always exchange its old monetary denominations.
Monetary denominations of 50 pounds with James Uatta's image and Metju of Bolton which have been issued in 2011, will remain in circulation and can be used freely.
