Fluctuation in the average US dollar exchange rate

On Tuesday of 17 February in various regions of the exchange offices of Dushanbe the average US dollar exchange rate had some fluctuations. So, in second half of day, the US dollar exchange rate has slightly increased to level 3,78 - 3,80 somoni, and in some regions has decreased to 3,73-3,76 somoni.

To stabilize the rate the National Bank of Tajikistan has implemented an intervention in the currency market. Thus, there was also an activization of sale of foreign currency by the commercial banks through their exchange offices.

However, in the interbank and intrabank currency markets on spent operations the average US dollar exchange rate had another tendency and has decreased in 0,3 %, and fixed at level 3,73 - 3,76 somoni.
